Second Life

Often when I am creating with stamps and paint I keep a scratch pad of paper nearby to stamp off on or clean my brush on. A lot of times I get my color inspiration from those scrap sheets of paper. Today however one of those sheets is getting a second life as the base to my project. This was a sheet I was using during my Valentine projects.
It is full of ink and paint and some stamped images. I thought it looked pretty interesting and would make a great entry in my Art Journal. I added some inking around the edges more scraps of paper. The black scrap is the negative from some die cutting I did and a heart that I cut freehanded.
I added a great quote from Charles Dickens and I have saved a scrap sheet from the garbage.

The next time you are creating take a look around your desk and see if you can repurpose those scraps! Have a great day!
